If there’s a way to infuse your life with greater ease and purpose, let’s explore it together
Life Experience—Inviting Change
Living a life—it’s not for the feint hearted. It can seem to require more than we can do or be on any given day. I find life is more than willing to surprise us, even when we think we have things all mapped out.
In addition to my clinical training, I bring a breadth of life experience to the work of therapy. Having entered this field in midlife, I understand the richness that comes with reevaluating your path and designing or redesigning a life that feels more authentic, purposeful, and fulfilling—personally, creatively, professionally, and relationally.
I Understand the Creative Process—a Creative Life
Prior to becoming a therapist
In my first career, I worked as a self-employed artist, art director, and designer. I understand both the exhilaration and vulnerability of the creative process. As a therapist, I support writers, artists, and other creatives in working through perfectionism, anxiety, and creative blocks that interfere with authentic expression. I believe our life is a work of art, or can be.
Relationships can be complicated
Having experienced both a long-term marriage and a divorce, I hold deep respect for the beauty, complexity, and evolving nature of committed relationships. I understand the pain, disruption, and grief—even in amicable divorces—and how profoundly these transitions impact individuals, families, and children.
Parenting and navigating divorce
Parenting through divorce, adolescence, or within blended families can bring real challenges. I’ve navigated these personally and professionally, and I understand how much support it takes to maintain stability and compassion, for your child and yourself, through these major transitions.
Embracing lifelong growth
The most challenging chapters in our lives often hold unexpected opportunities for healing, growth, and re-discovery. A supportive therapeutic relationship can help lift you out of pain and into a future aligned with your deepest dreams and values. I know this process firsthand, and it is a privilege to walk beside others as they heal, restart, and reclaim their lives.
