I’m Victoria—a psychotherapist—I have a passion for engaging the body in the work of therapy

It’s Not Always Easy to Start Therapy

Online therapy that draws on the body and the mind for healing

It takes courage to begin therapy, at least it did for me. Many of my clients have reported the same.

I know what it’s like to live in a brain that never rests and a nervous system that’s on edge. If you experience high anxiety, you know how physically uncomfortable it can be. This is why I include the body in therapy.

As a result, I’ve been able to support many individuals as they navigate anxiety, loss, grief, trauma, overwhelm, or life transitions that challenge their sense of self.

Depth-Oriented Training and Philosophy

Blending insight-oriented therapy with myth, metaphor, and embodied somatic work for a unique healing approach to creating change

Since 2001, I’ve worked with individuals, couples, groups, students of all ages, families across Orange County, and many senior community members. Today, my online therapy practice is focused on adults.

Drawn to deeper understanding of self and a love of story, I sought a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology—Emphasis in Depth Psychology, from Pacifica Graduate Institute. There I trained in a compassionate, client-centered approach that promotes wholeness, and self-acceptance.

My work emphasizes mindfulness, authenticity, and autonomy, with a focus on helping clients cultivate healthier relationships and more liberated lives.

Integrating somatic and trauma-informed psychotherapy

I’m certified in Somatic Experiencing® so you can learn to settle your body in real time, not just talk about it. SE works for a range of physical, emotional, and attachment traumas and is wonderful for anxiety reduction.

Respecting the body-mind-spirit connection, I integrate somatic and depth-oriented approaches to support healing and reduce suffering—creating space for a reawakening of your innate well-being.

A deepening approach to anxiety

My early foundation in treating anxiety and panic was partially informed by the CHAANGE Program—a structured, CBT-based protocol that emphasized reducing anxiety symptoms through a skill-based approach. Over time, my practice evolved into a depthful, integrative, trauma-informed approach that addresses root causes through somatic awareness, emotional processing, deepened self-understanding, compassion, and nervous system regulation.

Additional somatic training

I completed Kathy Kain’s year-long Touch Skills Training for therapists, a companion modality to Somatic Experiencing emphasizing safe, healing touch supporting trauma resolution. Certification pending.

Life experience as a path

I entered my counseling masters program in early mid-life. My approach to therapy has been informed by client centered and depth training, as well as, my own life and career experience. You can read more about how valuing growth over the course of a lifetime lead me to practice of therapy.
