IS ONLINE THERAPY EFFECTIVE?
Great question. I’ve been in private practice in Orange County since 2006 and have worked exclusively online since 2020. I’ve found virtual therapy to be just as effective and relationally connected as in-person work—especially when supported by somatic
and relational approaches.
Evidence-based research confirms online therapy is effective for many issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship concerns. For many clients, meeting from home adds an extra layer of ease and accessibility.
Frankly, I believe the most accessible therapy is the best therapy.

WHAT IS SOMATIC EXPERIENCING?
Somatic Experiencing® (SE) is a body-oriented approach to healing trauma and chronic stress. By mindfully tracking subtle body sensations, we help gently release survival energy stuck in the nervous system so you can feel more grounded, connected, and whole.
Sometimes, it's not about reliving the story of what happened. It’s about restoring
your body’s natural capacity to self-regulate and feel more calm—even safe.
While originally developed for trauma work, SE has become a fully integrated tool in my practice. It supports clients in:

WHAT IS DEPTH PSYCHOLOGY?
Depth Psychology explore the unconscious roots of thoughts, emotions, and behavior. It draws from Jungian, psychoanalytic, and humanistic traditions, emphasizing meaning, insight, and inner transformation. My work integrates this deeper lens with a present-moment, client-centered approach grounded in somatic awareness.
HOW LONG WILL THERAPY TAKE?
Naturally, this is one of the most common questions new clients ask. The short answer: it depends on your goals and what you’re working through.
Some clients find meaningful relief within a few months. Others prefer longer-term work to explore deeper patterns. The process is collaborative—and you’re always in charge of when you're ready to finish.

WHAT HAPPENS IN THE FIRST SESSION?
We'll begin with a standard 50-minute session, which will likely go quickly. There are a few intake and practice-related items to cover, but we’ll also begin exploring what brought you here, what you’d like to shift, and start building a sense of safety and connection.
Over time, sessions become a place to slow down, get in touch, and move below the surface. We may talk, track body sensations, or explore beliefs and patterns that no longer serve you. Expect a warm, nonjudgmental space where your experience is truly honored.

WHAT KIND OF RESULTS CAN I EXPECT FROM COUNSELING?
Clients often share they feel more centered, less reactive, and more connected to themselves and others. Therapy doesn't eliminate all of life's challenges—but it
helps you meet them with greater capacity. Both insight-oriented talk therapy and somatic work are cumulative—the benefits build over time.
